- Abstract
The article presents the research on the wild edible plants used and consumed by the Assam of the Dimasa Tribe in Barak Valley, India. It states that the indigenous plants play important role in the nutrition of the inhabitants as they are source of vitamins, carbohydrates, and proteins. It mentions that the knowledge of wild edible plants is a part important strategy for improvement of quality of life of poor rural communities.
