- Title
Martin Buber's Restructuring of Society into a State of Anocracy.
- Authors
Kohanski, Alexander S.
- Abstract
The article discusses the basic problem presented by Jewish philosopher Martin Buber regarding the restructuring of society into a state of anocracy. He holds that both man and his social structure need a transformation, which will be accomplished by man himself in actual relation with his fellow men. According to Buber, in the restructured society, inter-human communication must open up so that man may reach fellow man directly. He also regards the individualistic trend as the chief contributing factor in the process of emptying the social structure of its communal content.
