- Abstract
Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which the most widely used is an approach with multi criteria in case of the increase number of alternatives and criteria. In this study, it was investigated a usage of the AHP method at the animal husbandry. To create a hierarchical structure was used the four different races (Holstein, Brown Swiss, Simental and Jersey) with a high milk yield. As a criterion measure in the process selection, a set of environmental factors (age at first parturition, calving season and lactation period) affecting milk yield was taken into consideration and was consulted to the expert opinion to constitute pairwise matrices. To determine race with the best milk yield take into consideration these opinions were established a hierarchical structure with three stages. As a result of analysis, While the Holstein had the highest milk yield, the Jersey had the lowest milk yield.
