- Abstract
Pelvic or bladder pain can have a profound impact on the patient's quality of life. When treatment options such as analgesics and/or intravesical treatments are ineffective, a plexus blockade by the anesthesiologist can result in immediate pain relief. This case report presents two cases in which a ganglion impar or superior hypogastric plexus blockade was effective in alleviating pain. Despite the lack of evidence, the relatively low-invasive nature of the procedure and the low risk of complications argue in favour of applying a plexus block to relieve pain.
