The article discusses the "Quarterly Deal Performance Monitor" of Towers Watson which showed that corporate deal makers have outperformed the performance of non-acquisitive global executives during the fourth quarter of 2010. It reports the dominance of North American deals in the 2010 global market. The article offers tips to facilitate successful transactions including extra vigilance in the performance of due diligence, increased focus on integrated execution, and early engagement of internal deal partners.
