The article discusses the study, The Impact of COVID-19 on Pupil Attainment, A summary of research evidence by Liz Twist, Emily Jones and Oscar Treleaven. It notes impact of Covid-19 on educational attainment in England by criteria including pupil age, disadvantaged and advantaged pupil status, and subject (reading and mathematics). Findings include affected reading development of the youngest children, signs of recovery across ages and subjects, and widened disadvantage gap post pandemic.
