- Abstract
This paper analyzes the educational experience of ten students with disabilities from a public university in Madrid. This is higher education institution was selected because it holds a range of inclusive services, practices and objectives. Henceforth, a qualitative methodology, in-depth interviews, was used to discuss their satisfaction with the education received and also to reflect on the obstacles they identified in this process. Thus, we have investigated both the academic and extra-academic side of their inclusion in the university; consequently we have paid special attention to their relationship with two of the most important agents: lecturers and other students. With their narratives we have managed to obtain a perception which starts in their experience but projects the particular into the general, considering what it can be done and also what it has been done in regards of the education of students with disabilities. Hence, their experiences were useful to allocate the university in the process of inclusion and also consider what needs to be achieved in the future.
