- Abstract
This study identifies the skills and aptitudes workers believe their managers possess, reveals their aspirations for gaining promotion to those positions, and detects any gender differences that may exist in relation to these issues. Our methodology employed a survey and multiple correspondence analysis to determine the characteristics of managers and the ideas of respondents in areas such as selection and remuneration. Most respondents recognized qualities in their managers such as leadership, influence, emotional intelligence, and effortless communication. Most respondents are also willing to occupy managerial positions, though gender differences exist in relation to remuneration and performance.
