- Abstract
The article reports about the Highly Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) Initiative Decision Point. This report focuses on the World Bank's International Development Association's (IDA) agreement with the IMF for Liberia to be under debt relief initiative. The decision point is under the enhanced HIPC Initiative and Liberia is the 33rd country to reach the decision point and qualifies for debt relief. It is a historic event for Liberia and the IMF as they re-engaged with the international community. This will provide a needed boost to solve the economic and post-conflict challenges.
