- Abstract
This article discusses Alexander Monro's natural philosophy lectures and its implications for moral anatomy. The public anatomy was significant part of public culture in early modern Europe. Its impact can be seen in both of the theatricality of public demonstration and of its moral implications. Furthermore, Monro has employed diverse concepts and practices from his predecessors and contemporaries including styles of lecturing, and the use of anatomical preparations.
