An essay is presented on the concept of vandalism and its association with the decision of the Islamic fundamentalist organization Taliban to blow up the Bamiyan (BAI) Buddhas in Afghanistan in 2001. Topics include the salient features of vandalism concerning the behavior of Taliban, the criteria of vandalism based on the Call for Papers of the journal's issue, and the significance of the empty niches and remains. The criteria are destruction, damage, and unauthorized.
