- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 63-year-old man with group B streptococcal necrotizing fasciitis at multiple sites secondary to multifocal septic arthritis. Topics discussed include the results of his laboratory tests, which include increased white blood cells (WBC) and C-reactive protein (CRP), the emergency debridement done on the affected tissues, and the antibiotic therapy given, which consisted of meropenem and vancomycin.
