- Abstract
The article presents a speech by Teresa D. Magnus, mathematics professor at Rivier University, at Nashua, New Hampshire, during the commencement ceremony of college graduates held on May 10, 2012. She defined the commencement ceremony as a new beginning in the students' lives. She explains the meaning of the college seal including a white dove standing for the Holy Spirit, a book representing truth, knowledge, and understanding, and a fleur-de-lis representing the college's French heritage.
