- Title
Kallikrein 6 regulates early CNS demyelination in a viral model of multiple sclerosis.
- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the expression of Kallikrein 6 (KLK6) serine protease in Theiler's murine encephalomyelitis virus (TMEV)-infected mice. It notes that KLK6's expression in the brain and spinal cord of TMEV-infected mice was examined to further evaluate KLK6's involvement in the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS). The study found that the development and progression of central nervous system (CNS) inflammation and demyelination may be influenced by KLK6.
