- Abstract
Alpha-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase denotes an enzyme encoded by FTO gene to be correlated with Obesity in humans which is emerging health risk around the world. This study we attempts to isolate and evaluate Rhizophora mucronata derived phytocompounds viz., cystine, phenyl acetic acid, acrylamide, caprylone and oleic acid from inhibitory action on Alpha-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase using an insilico method. Insilico analysis of cystine, phenyl acetic acid, acrylamide, caprylone and oleic acid on Alpha-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase FTO was done by using Autodoc 4.0. Among the five compounds Phenyl acetic acid acts as an inhibitor with binding energy -5.42 kcal/mol, two hydrogen bond interactions at residue LEU 82, ARG 388 and suppresses the action of obesity protein. Further clinical trials will be exploring natural fat reducing agent from mangrove R.mucronata.
