- Abstract
The article focuses on the study on the ranging behavior of some granivorous passerines on farmland during the winter which is determined by mark-recapture ringing and radiotelemetry. There is also a degree of settling behavior before the birds in the most reliable feeding areas. For the ringing data, the survival rates are constant across sites and through the winter for each species. In addition, the radio tracking data shows that the distances between fixes are proportional to the distances ranged by the bids within the period. The transfer of probabilities between sites were also assumed constant through the season of the ringing data.
