- Abstract
The article presents the reports British Ornithologists' Union which covers the period October 20047 to September 2005. The preparation for the article "The Birds of Britain and Ireland," is scheduled for publication in early 2008. A review from time to time was made to the definitions of the categories used for the British list. The review of the records of the greater flamingo species resulted a decision to retain it on Category D. Meanwhile, the 31st committee report give detail to the new system dealing with category E species. In addition, the record of M. f. iberiae, known as Spanish Watail has been considered by the commitee and considered unproven.
