- Abstract
Crises affect private, public and administrative institutions, producing changes in their evolution. The crisis issue requires a thorough analysis of how companies use specific methods of managing crisis and fundamental decisions in times of crisis. This paper subjects the perception of SME managers on how to make fundamental decisions and using mathematical modeling in order to optimize decisions. The research was conducted on SME in Mures county using survey based investigations, and the main used tool was the questionnaire. Based on the obtained results the assumptions that SME’s do not use decision optimization software has been confirmed, and the managers are not familiar with the mathematical modeling term, decisions are made based on experience and intuition.
