- Abstract
The article presents a reprint of two essays which both appeared in the January 1, 1890 in the "Arizona Daily Citizen." These two essays discussed the significant contributions to the community of brothers, Lionel M. Jacobs and Mark Israel Jacobs, who was both born in Poland and migrated to Tucson, Arizona. In Arizona, they established the general merchandise firm, Mark I. Jacobs Co., and Pima County Bank, which was claimed the first banking house in Arizona.
