- Abstract
Two microtubule‐stabilizing agents with potential anticancer activity, Peloruside A and laulimalide, are depicted superimposed on their marine sponges of origin. Peloruside A was isolated from Mycale hentscheli, a sponge found in Pelorus Sound, New Zealand. Laulimalide was isolated from Cacospongia mycofijiensis collected from Vava′u, the Kingdom of Tonga. In their Communication on page 1621 ff., M. O. Steinmetz et al. describe the crystal structures of the compounds bound to tubulin.
