- Abstract
WHEN HURRICANE KATRINA SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED THIS 1940s home in Pass Christian, Miss., local firm Watters Architecture aimed to restore the Lamantia Residence to its simplistic, Southern style while also incorporating modern building advancements in storm resiliency, energy efficiency, and technology. The drawers were assembled by cabinet carpenter Bill Adam in Bay St. Louis, Miss., as a trapezoidal cabinet that slid into place, with each drawer constructed as a rectangular box with a trapezoidal front panel. The homeowners utilize the drawers to store athletic equipment and household linens.
