- Abstract
The article reviews symposiastic literature of the author Athenaeus by discussing his work in "Dinner of the Sophists." The author states that the linguistic preoccupations are very strong in his works. The vocabulary of Lacanian psychology and the side-effects of the foods, words and narcissism are also highlighted. The author has presented a protypical sample of sophistic culture.
