- Abstract
The article discusses the court case Acreman v. Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador wherein the plaintiffs, former employees of the university, are seeking an order to certify a class action. The court, in finding that the plaintiffs satisfied all of the criteria in the Class Actions Act, granted the motion to certify the action as a class action. More than 250 claims will be also eliminated by a class action leading to judicial economy, access to justice and behavioural modification.
