- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of sports in teaching life values and skills. It claims that leveraging the power of sport, however, depends on coaching, facilitation and communication. It focuses on the values women coaches instill to their athletes. It cites the research results, which showed that sport participation is linked to psychological well-being, positive social development and higher academic and occupational achievement.
