The article presents the author's reflections on the integration of the Human Development Approach or Capability Approach concept into the theory and practice of human rights. The approach is embodied in the Human Development Report of the United Nations Development Programme and in theoretical works of scholars from various nations. It has been used as a way to address inequalities between nations through a list of specific capabilities as a benchmark.
