- Abstract
Palmo-plantar erythrodisestesia, also known as Hand-foot syndrome is caracterised by erythema, scaling and tingiling on the palms of hands and the soles of feet. It is a cutaneous toxic reaction due to chemotherapeutic agents, particularly 5FU and capecitabine. It is a disorder of the oncology field, yet rarely consulted by the general dermatologist. We present the case of a woman with palmo-plantar erythrodisestesia undergoing treatment for hepatic metastatic breast cancer with capecitabine.
