- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study which isolated a new polyphenol pigment from adzuki beans. It notes the process used to extract the seed coat components of the adzuki bean including filtration, loading in a Diaion HP20SS column, and analysis through high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The experiment confirmed the presence of a xanthylium skeleton compound which is presumed to give pigmentation to adzukipigmentatiomn beans.
