The article discusses the use of disparate impact claims in anti-discrimination lawsuits in the U.S. Also cited are the disparate impact doctrine as codified under the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the guidelines by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in promulgating a disparate impact claim, and the ruling by the Supreme Court in the case Wards Cove Packing Co. v. Atonio.
