- Abstract
The effects of the interaction of a single quantum dot exciton with a reservoir of acoustic phonons are studied beyond perturbation theory. In the case of strong interactions, the independent boson model becomes inapplicable. A generalization of this model to the case of the strong interaction of the exciton with the reservoir of acoustic phonons is proposed. The self-energy function of a quantum dot is calculated beyond perturbation theory and the Markov approximation. The importance of going beyond perturbation theory is demonstrated in the emission spectra of the single quantum dot.
