- Abstract
The article discusses a paper that discusses the application of Laplace transform in optical spectroscopy and imaging. Topics discussed include use of Laplace transform (LT) to solve different time-dependent photon migration problems in the biomedical optics field, use of the radiative transport equation (RTE) in modeling of biological tissue and development of reliable inversion of the LT that over its drawbacks in optical spectroscopy and imaging.
