- Abstract
This letter to the editor responds to an article titled "Impact of Health and Digital Health Literacy on Quality of Life Following Radical Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer: Prospective Single-Center Cohort Study" by Keles et al. The authors commend the study for exploring the impact of health literacy (HL) and digital health literacy (e-HL) on quality of life (QoL) after prostate cancer surgery. However, they raise concerns about the study's methodology, including the demographic homogeneity of the cohort and the reliance on self-reported measures. They suggest that incorporating objective measures and considering non-significant results more critically would strengthen the study's conclusions. The authors also acknowledge the need for future research to explore these variables in more diverse populations and using a mixed-methods approach.
