- Abstract
β -mannanase is a new type of endonuclease, which can hydrolyze non-starch polysaccharides containing β -1, 4-D-mannose bond, such as mannan, and has the function of eliminating anti-nutritional factors. It can not only reduce the intestinal viscosity and promote the efficient absorption of nutrients, but also fully release the nutrients wrapped in the cell wall of plant feed by decomposing mannan, improving the energy utilization rate of feed. Mannooligosaccharides can play the role of prebiotics, which can optimize the intestinal environment by regulating the balance of intestinal microbial flora, achieving the effect of enhancing the body's immunity. As a feed additive, β -mannanase can be used in animal production, which can improve the growth performance and feed conversion rate of livestock and poultry, improve animal health and promote animal growth. The paper reviews the source, molecular structure, biological function and application of β-mannanase in animal production, in order to provid a reference for the research and application of β-mannanase in feed.
