- Abstract
Aquatic animals are highly susceptible to environmental stress in aquaculture, which can cause oxidative stress and affect the growth and health of aquatic animals. Lipoic acid is a sulfur compound with strong antioxidant properties. Lipoic acid can promote the growth of aquatic animals, participate in regulation of nutrient metabolism, and improve the body's antioxidant and immune ability. The paper reviews the application of lipoic acid as feed additive in aquaculture, to provide reference for the application of lipoic acid in aquaculture.
