- Abstract
The purpose of fiscal policy is to achieve economic stability, income distribution and promote economic growth and development. According to this, various measures have been taken to increase human capital using fiscal policy instruments such as budget, debt, revenue and expenditure items available to states. The aim of this study is to examine the impact of fiscal policy on education and health expenditures. Accordingly, the study examines the impact of growth, unemployment, inflation, public debt, budget deficit, and current account balance on education and health expenditures for 35 OECD member countries over the period 2010-2021 using static and dynamic panel data methods. The findings of the study suggest that all macroeconomic variables and fiscal policy variables have a significant impact on education and health expenditures.
