- Abstract
In order to study the influence of the content of lightweight bricks on the properties of cement stabilized construction and demolition waste recycled aggregates, the unconfined compressive strength, splitting strength, compressive resilience modulus, erosion resistance and shrinkage performance of different components of mixture were tested. The results show that: with the increasing of the lightweight brick content, the optimal moisture content of the mixture increased significantly, and the maximum dry density significantly reduced, the unconfined compressive strength, splitting strength, compressive resilience modulus and erosion resistance of the mixture decreased, and the dry shrinkage strain and temperature shrinkage strain of the mixture increase as the amount of lightweight bricks and cement increased, the amount of lightweight bricks had a greater impact on the drying shrinkage of the mixture, while the amount of cement had a greater impact on the temperature shrinkage of the mixture. The performance of coarse-graded mixture was better than the other two graded mixtures on the above properties. The cement stabilized material of full brick-concrete recycled aggregate can be used for pavement base of various grades of roads and highways. When it is necessary to mix lightweight bricks, the amount of lightweight bricks should be strictly limited 20% or less.
