- Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore the effects of SNPs on seven morphological ratios of G6S-free Boer and Nubian crossbred goat before yearling. Data were collected every four weeks (W4 ~ W52). Morphological measurements included body length (BL), wither (WH) and rump (RH) height, chest depth (CD) and girth (CG), shoulder (SW) and rump (RW) width. Only significant results on the oldest age were reported here. BLICG at W52 was significantly affected by SNPs studied. However, GH showed significant effects on BLICG at W36. No significant effects of SNPs studied was observed on WH/BL after W20. RW/RH ratio at W52 was affected by POU1F1. Also, POU1F1 and IGF1 showed significant effect on RW /SWat W 40 and \V 48, respective! y. iV!STN and KiSS1 had effects on CD/SW at W52 and W40, respectively. Fruthermore, relative depth of thorax (CD/WH) was affected by all genes evaluated at Wl6, W52, W52, W 44, and W24, respectively.
