- Abstract
Automation and robotics are profoundly transforming labour relations, especially in sectors such as healthcare, in which the precision and efficiency provided by new technologies are vital. In this sense, teleworking has allowed the development of telemedicine and billing and coding tasks, which is why it presents numerous advantages, but also challenges such as the violation of labour rights or teleavailability. Specifically, telemedicine has evolved significantly as a result of these technological advances, reducing the need for in-person visits to the primary care centers, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, where it became essential. Therefore, digital health is positive for patients and health centers, but it is important that workers have their labour rights guaranteed, in particular for those who work from home, considering the balance between their work and personal life.
