- Abstract
In order to study the stability slopes of opencast mines under the action of faults and weak layer groups, the method of determining the most dangerous sliding surface within the slope containing faults and weak layer groups is proposed based on the rigid body limit equilibrium method, and the steps for determining the most dangerous sliding surface are given, and the method is applied to the East 410 catchment pit project in Zone 2 of Yuanbaoshan Open-pit Coal. The proposed method was validated by applying FLAC3D to determine the reliability of the proposed method. The results of the study show that the proposed method for determining the slip surface of the slope containing fault and weak layer group is close to the numerical simulation results; the slip pattern of the slope in the East 410 catchment pit section of Yuanbaoshan Open-pit Coal section 2 is a combination of sliding formed by arc-IV weak layer; the stability coefficient of the slip surface is 1.27, which meets the safety requirement of the safety reserve factor of 1.25.
