- Authors
Lavelle, James J.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a 2014 decision by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) which held that members of the European Union have a right to be forgotten. Topics discussed include the case of Google Spain v. AEPD, which defined the right to be forgotten as the right to have a link deindexed from a search engine, the possibility of the U.S. importing the right to be forgotten, and the advantages of conceptualizing a right to be forgotten in terms of a publicity right.
