- Abstract
The article discusses the second generation of enforcement of the language assistance provisions contained in Section 203 of the U.S. Voting Rights Act of 1975, focusing on issues related to a right to vote in America and the potential disenfranchisement of limited English proficient and minority voters in the U.S. as of 2014. Discriminatory barriers to voting are addressed in relation to Asian Americans. Ballots, democracy, and the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund are examined.
