- Abstract
The article discusses the 50th anniversary of the Ecumenical Jury at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The jury, consisting of members from Protestant and Catholic film organizations, awards a main prize and special mention to films that communicate values of humanity and prompt society to aspire to something better. The article highlights the artistic quality and ethical grounds for awarding the Italian film "Patagonia" and recognizes its portrayal of a challenging relationship between a gay couple.
