- Abstract
Focuses on the cladoceran, Moina micrura, which were fed various densities of the micro-alga Scenedesmus acuminatus in 40-litre glass aquaria. How the Moina population increased with increasing cell densities of Scenedesmus only up to a point; Results indicating that Moina population growth was inhibited at higher algal densities; Percentages of egg-bearing females and the number of eggs per egg-bearing females that followed a similar pattern; Results indicating that S. acuminatus is a satisfactory micro-alga food for M. micrura.
