- Abstract
The article reports developments in the field of medicine. According to a recent meta-analysis conducted by physician Yikyung Park and colleagues, high dietary fiber intake is not associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer. In a study conducted by Lene Mellemkjær of the Danish Cancer Society in Copenhagen, Denmark and colleagues, it states that women previously treated for breast cancer are 25 per cent more likely to develop a second cancer elsewhere in the body compared with the general population.
