- Abstract
The article discusses the collaboration by U.S. army entomologists and Koreans to increase their surveillance studies to update knowledge and inquiries about the impact of vector-borne disease on military operations in South Korea. The studies aim to increase the knowledge of pathogen-vector-host-reservoir relationships through vector identification, bionomics and host behavior. Vector surveillance is augmented by human epidemiological investigations that identify human populations at risk.
