- Abstract
"But I Live: Three Stories of Child Survivors of the Holocaust" is a collection of testimonies from child survivors of the Holocaust. The book features interviews with four survivors, who recount their experiences to three graphic artists. The graphic novels depict the stories of these survivors, highlighting themes of loss, fear, ingenuity, resistance, and the will to survive. The book also includes historical and geographical background provided by Holocaust scholars, framing the survivor narratives. The collaboration between the survivors, artists, and scholars aims to bear witness to the traumatic history of the Holocaust and transmit it to future generations.
