- Abstract
The article focuses on the mission of the squads from the 64th Medical Detachment (VS) of the U.S. Veterinary Service which are deployed in Kuwait, Qatar, and Djibouti, Africa from January 2005 to January 2006. It is noted that the mission of the squads is to provide food inspection, assistance with stray animal control, and medical care of military working dogs (MWDs). The author further highlights that the deployment of the squads is in support of the Operation Iraqi Freedom.
