- Abstract
The article presents a research study which examines the effect of the revised International Prognostic Scoring System to 258 patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The patients were matched for clinical trial, gender and age, and consolidation therapy such as allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and chemotherapy. The Great Britain Medical Research Council (MRC) cytogenetic scoring system showed a stratification into two risk groups for patients having secondary AML.
