- Abstract
Practicing a specific physical activity during pregnancy helps prevent difficulties during labor, birth and postpartum recovery period. For all the changes and demands being placed on the body during pregnancy, simple structures common water gymnastics relieve suffering and prepare for the upcoming birth mother. Swimming and water aerobic exercise requires no special equipment and can be practiced by pregnant women without any risk due to controlled movements, executed in water. Water exercises are considered some of the most complex and unusual sports, they do not present specific restrictions of most sports. For each change that occurs in the body during pregnancy, aquatic exercise and swimming can help to adapt it to the child and relieves discomfort commonly worn during training muscles for childbirth. Women should not give up exercise during pregnancy. If no other point of view, they should exercise to strengthen the body and prepare for birth. Moderate exercise during pregnancy helps prevent excessive increase in weight and rapid recovery after birth.
