The article discusses the concept of death and hylomorphism according to Thomistic metaphysical view. Topics include death as a material kenosis, as self-negation and self-emptying; reconsideration of St. Thomas's concept of death and holymorphism to explain the same; and current debates on hylomorphism and death along with the criticisms that Thomas recieved for explaining the same.
