Tapping the Internet's Job Search Resources.
- Authors
Curry, Jerome
- Abstract
This article describes a recommended approach to teaching introductory-level business writing students how to effectively conduct job searches on the Internet. Students should first get themselves notebooks to keep track of where they have already sent their résumés. Students should then go to their school's homepage and locate the Internet Job Search List. The Internet Job Search List is defined as a guide assembled to help with the electronic search by providing links to a host of sites that are helpful to students, including job search guides and databases, help sites, and a Usenet access site. Students should spend time getting comfortable with these tools before beginning their searches. After becoming acclimated, students can begin to post their résumés.
